Trainees may contribute if supervised by an experienced reviewer, as long as the mentor assumes full responsibility for the review\u2019s quality and accuracy. In such cases, credit may be shared.<\/p><p>Lay reviewers are permitted but must clearly state their background and level of expertise so that their comments can be appropriately contextualized.<\/p><p>All reviewers, regardless of training or background, should decline assignments outside their area of competence.<\/p><p>Individuals should not apply to serve as peer reviewers if they have conflicts of interest. Your JGET Reviewer Card will be emailed to you by the JGET Editor Staff. Your name, credentials, reviewer number*, focus fields, email address, and a table with the manuscripts you will be reviewing listed are all included on this card. Only the editing staff may view and edit this card. After that, you will receive a link to complete a form that you will complete based on your assessment of the manuscript. The authors of the manuscript will receive this after it has been received by the JGET team, and they will have ample time to revise it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3263353 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3263353\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Step 6:<\/strong> The document will be sent to you, the reviewer, for another reading and review when the authors have finished modifying it. A second form will be completed to assess the manuscript&#8217;s quality.
