As Editor-in-Chief for GCSCORED, I am pleased to see the introduction of the organization’s latest publication, the Journal of Global Engagement and Transformation. 
With this new journal, GCSCORED will have the trifold opportunity of reaching a wider audience, publishing unique voices, and promoting the value of social-emotional competencies.
The Journal of Global Engagement and Transformation will provide another platform for GCSCORED to spread the word that Every Piece Matters. Each article in this journal will contribute to the conversation about how to engage and transform individuals. The focus of this journal is to provide resources and research-based practices that allow for those engaged and transformed individuals to work within and between many different systems to promote resilient, healthy communities.
This journal seeks to give new and unique perspectives on the development of social-emotional education around the globe. With each new publication the voices sharing perspectives and research will become more diverse, more people will be exposed to the value of interdisciplinary social-emotional education, and the vision of GCSCORED will continue to thrive: transformed lives living in safe communities.
