Journeying Toward Global Engagement and Transformation
Message from the Founder & Editorial Team
Welcome to the Journal of Global Engagement and Transformation (JGET) — a space where scholarship meets lived experience, and where research, practice, and reflection converge to advance mental health, relational wellness, and systemic transformation in an ever-changing world.
Founded in 2017 under the umbrella of the Global Center for Systemic Change Outcomes, Research, Evaluation & Development (GCSCORED, Inc.), JGET was created to bridge the gap between academic theory and lived reality. Our purpose has always been clear: to renew minds, transform lives, and create safer, more socially connected communities through open-access scholarship and collaboration.
From the beginning, JGET was envisioned as more than a journal — it is a movement. We aim to amplify marginalized and historically underrepresented voices, with particular attention to the African diaspora and other global communities whose perspectives and contributions are too often overlooked.
We believe that mental health is ecological — shaped by personal stories, cultural histories, environments, relationships, and systems. As the world faces increasing social, political, and ecological turbulence, JGET serves as a meeting ground for those who are reimagining how engagement and transformation happen, both locally and globally.
Whether you are a scholar, practitioner, educator, policymaker, or student, we invite you to join this journey. Share your insights. Challenge old paradigms. Contribute to the growing body of work that brings hope, healing, and connection to our shared human story.
Together, we are finding steady ground — and transforming it.
