2nd Annual GCSCORED
World Mental Health Day Virtual Summit
Voices Across the Diaspora: Lived Experience, Real Change
Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 10:00 AM–1:00 PM ET | Virtual
Mental health is a global human experience.
Across countries, cultures, families, and communities, people experience challenges, healing, resilience, connection, and hope in different ways. Yet too often, the voices of people with lived experience—and the communities closest to the challenges—are missing from the conversations intended to create change.
The 2nd Annual World Mental Health Day Virtual Summit, hosted by the Global Center for Systemic Change, Outcomes Research, Evaluation and Development, Inc. (GCSCORED), brings those voices to the center.
This year's theme,
Voices Across the Diaspora: Lived Experience, Real Change
creates a space for people across the diaspora and around the world to share experiences, exchange perspectives, identify practical solutions, and explore how we can strengthen mental health and well-being within our families, communities, organizations, and systems.
Real Voices. Real People. Real Change.
📅 Saturday, October 10, 2026
10:00 AM–1:00 PM ET
Virtual
Participants will experience a dynamic virtual gathering centered around four areas:
Diverse Voices
Hear authentic perspectives and lived experiences from people representing different communities, cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life.
Global Perspectives
Explore how culture, community, family, environment, and systems influence the ways mental health is understood, experienced, discussed, and addressed across the diaspora.
Practical Solutions
Move beyond identifying problems. Explore ideas, strategies, resources, and community-based approaches that can be applied in everyday life, organizations, families, and communities.
Stronger Communities
Consider what becomes possible when individuals and communities have greater access to knowledge, supportive relationships, resources, skills, and opportunities to participate in creating change.
Who should attend?
The summit is open to everyone.
We especially welcome individuals with lived experience, families and caregivers, mental health and behavioral health professionals, educators, students, youth-serving professionals, faith and community leaders, nonprofit organizations, healthcare professionals, social service providers, advocates, researchers, and anyone interested in creating healthier and more socially connected communities.
You do not have to be a mental health professional to belong in this conversation.
Your experience matters. Your perspective matters. Your voice matters.
From Lived Experience to Real Change
At GCSCORED, we believe change requires more than identifying what is wrong.
We must understand what people experience, recognize the conditions surrounding those experiences, strengthen individual and collective capacity, and create opportunities for people and communities to participate in solutions.
That is why this summit centers both voice and action.
We will explore mental health through the interconnected realities of:
People. Communities. Systems. Change.
Because mental health does not exist in isolation. It is influenced by relationships, culture, opportunity, resources, environments, communities, and systems.
And when we strengthen the connections among those pieces, we strengthen the whole.
Every Piece Matters.
One Summit. Many Communities.
Because this is a virtual global event, participants can join from wherever they are.

The GCSCORED Approach
The summit reflects GCSCORED's commitment to creating opportunities that engage, educate, equip, and empower individuals and communities.
Our work recognizes that meaningful change is a process:
RECOGNIZE | UNDERSTAND | MANAGE | EXPRESS | REFLECT
We invite participants not only to recognize mental health challenges, but also to deepen understanding, develop practical strategies, strengthen communication and connection, and reflect on what each of us can do within our own spheres of influence.
The goal is not conversation for conversation's sake.
The goal is to help move knowledge and lived experience toward meaningful action.
Registration is now open.
