T.I.M.E Matters
It is so hard to be a parent these days and COVID hasn't made this task any easier. Increasingly, parents are feeling ill-equipped to help their children with their mounting, complex social-emotional(SE) needs. Conversations and interactions are tense, superficial, and many times damaging. Are you or your children experiencing social emotional challenges?
This two week program is for families seeking to improve relationships in their homes. Therefore our camp focuses on 7 to 18 year olds and their caregivers to educate, equip and empower the family unit with the social emotional skills (as foundational intra- and interpersonal relationship skills) that they can use across every setting in which they find themselves, and across their life course.
Parents are becoming acutely aware that their own social emotional (SE) challenges are playing a major role in creating barriers to safe and healthy interactions. Children are learning ways of relating to themselves and others, which shows up in homes, schools and other places. For parents it shows up as a sense of inadequacy and inability to parent, perform on their jobs optimally, and relate with partners and other significant people . Parents are saying that their own SE get in the way of their relationships with their child(ren). They desperately want to learn ways to Recognize, Understand, Manage, Express and Reflect on their Thoughts, Interactions, Mindsets, and Emotions(RUMERTIME®) that will proactively enhance the relationship with themselves, their child(ren) and vice versa. They crave tools to help with their own SE wellness so they can help their child(ren) with their SE wellness. Parents are crying out for an integrated, culturally responsive, relatable and accessible intervention that allows them to apply foundational strategies of SE skills.
Does this describe your situation or your T.I.M.E?
If yes, the RFSC is the answer to restoration of family life and a reconnection between yourself and your children.

What is the Cultivating SEEDS System®(CSS®)?
Cultivating SEEDS SystemⓇ(CSSⓇ) is an organizing framework that uses social emotional competencies (SECs) and the social determinants of a person’s life course to explain human behavior. It does this by identifying culturally responsive approach (the RUMERTIME Process®) that influence and transform lives and create safer communities.
What is the RUMERTIME Process®?
The RUMERTIME Process® is a five-step culturally-responsive, social-emotional, problem-solving strategy that helps persons move from a position of inter and intra-personal imbalance to balance and from unconscious to conscious living. We will be using the RUMERTIME Process® to help you manage your TIME which is your Thoughts, Interactions, Mindsets and Emotions. This year we will show you how TIME is an important factor in developing social emotional competence.

Staff to Child Ratio
RFSC® maintains a minimum 2:5/6 (staff to child) ratio during the program. There is a director and program coordinator on Zoom each day. For every two RPICs we will have no more than five/six children. We are intentionally choosing to have a small number of participants because of the intense nature of the social-emotional wellness intervention work that each family will be engaged in during this two week period. Our goal is to provide teaching and coaching on a small group and family unit basis.
Clinical Contact Hours & Supervision
All staff meet with the clinical directors and camp director on a daily basis throughout the 2-week program for clinical supervision, reflection and planning. There is one hour of daily pre-planning/supervision and one hour of post-planning/supervision.
Graduate Students & Interns – Become trained in evidence-based interventions and accrue over 50 contact hours! Hours are supervised and may count towards practicum/ internship or licensure.

SPONSOR A FAMILY TO THE RUMERTIME® FAMILY SUMMER CAMP(RFSC®)!!
Here is the story of a RFSC ®2020 sponsor:
Dear Potential Sponsor:
This is our family’s story about why we chose to sponsor two families for the RFSC™ 2020. We were desperate for social emotional wellness tools to help us as parents and to help our daughter.
“My nine year old daughter was speaking of anxiety and stated that she didn’t feel like she mattered. She said, “I don’t think anyone will even miss me if I am gone.” My husband and I didn’t know what to do, we tried telling her that she did matter, that we love her, that everything we do is for her, but somehow that didn’t help her.
After trying numerous strategies we found a two week program that promised to “fix” our daughter. Throughout those two weeks we were not included in the treatment planning while our child was receiving services; nor did we receive any tools to work with our child once she completed the program. Two weeks later and $10,000 poorer we still didn’t know how to help our daughter, nor did we have any further insight into the root of the anxiety and issues of feeling insignificant.
I found out about the RUMERTIME Process™® and was coached in using it. The RUMERTIME Process® has given me tools, skills, and strategies to help me look at myself and how my own unresolved trauma, internal conflicts, and social emotional imbalance influences my child’s anxiety and our relationship. We have been using the RUMERTIME Process® now and we are seeing improvements in our parent-child relationship; I see growth in myself and my social emotional imbalance and I feel less overwhelmed because I have tools to help me be a better parent and my child is benefiting from it. I absolutely support this RFSC®: Social Emotional Wellness Program™. Be a DISRUPTOR! Bring families TOGETHER!
Yours Rumerizingly, BLS
